AMD is continuing to work on the Ryzen 9000X3D, and it is said that its launch could happen earlier than expected. We don’t have a specific date yet, but most likely it will eventually arrive between end of October and mid-November. AMD could reportedly limit itself to launching the Ryzen 7 9800X3D first, with the rest of the models arriving later.

Today some Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D performance data was leaked in Cinebench R23 as well and the results are so good it’s hard to believe they’re real because normally the X3D models must sacrifice a certain operating frequency to accommodate a vertically stacked L3 cache chiplet.

This makes them slightly slower than the standard models in tests that depend more on the processor’s working speed, and precisely Cinebench R23 is one of those tests. For this reason, and because the source does not have a long history of success to support the leaked information, we have to take all the data that we will see below with great caution.

Ryzen 9000X3D: outperforms Ryzen 9000 in Cinebench R23

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D theoretically scores 2,145 single-threaded and 23,315 multi-threaded. The Ryzen 7 9700X scores 2,196 single-threaded and 19,815 multi-threaded points, meaning the Ryzen 7 9800X3D loses by -2.32% in single-threaded and wins by 17.66% in multi-threaded. This result could be explained because this processor should higher base TDP.

The Ryzen 9 9950X3D scores 2,245 single-threaded and 42,375 multi-threaded. With the Ryzen 9 9950X, the result I got in my analysis was 2,227 single-threaded and 41,279 multi-threaded. The differences in favor of the Ryzen 9 9950X3D are 0.81% faster in single thread and 2.66% faster in multi thread. In this case, the difference is much smaller in favor of the X3D.

These results make me think maybe AMD they were able to maintain the same frequencies I’m working on a Ryzen 9000X3D, but that’s just my intuition. As I said, these results are not confirmed, so we’ll have to wait for a leak from a more reliable source before we start connecting the dots.

If we compare with Ryzen 7000X3D, the difference is even greater, as is logical, although the most important thing will be seen What kind of performance are they able to offer in games?because these are processors that have a larger amount of L3 cache and therefore specialize in this type of application.
