Google’s new anti-theft features, announced earlier this year, have reportedly appeared on the devices of Android users in the US, Android expert Mishaal Rahman reports in a post on X. These three new anti-theft features are theft detection lock and offline device lock and remote lock. This allows users to ensure that thieves do not gain access to sensitive information.
Theft protection
Earlier this year, Google introduced three new anti-theft security features. With these features, Theft Detection Lock, Offline Device Lock and Remote Lock, you can protect sensitive information from your smartphone in case a thief steals your smartphone. To
Theft Detection Lock automatically analyzes when a device is stolen. For example, if someone takes the phone out of your hand and walks away. When detected, the phone blocks unwanted access to apps and data.
With Offline Device Lock, your device will be automatically locked if a thief wants to disconnect your phone from the internet for a long time. Finally, Remote Lock allows you to remotely lock your phone using just your phone number if you can’t sign in to Find My Device with your Google Account password.
