BioWare has updated the final requirements for Dragon Age The Veilguard in its PC version, so we already know everything we will need play it under rasterization and enjoy it with ray tracing enabled. This technology significantly increases the graphics load, so we will need a very powerful graphics card to use it.

It’s not a very demanding title at 1080p and 1440p, but we’ll need a high-end PC to play with all guarantees in 4K without resorting to upscaling. Dragon Age The Veilguard is confirmed to support scaling technology NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR and Intel XeSS, so we can use them to improve performance if needed.

Ray tracing can be activated in three modes: selective, normal and ultra. The first applies it in a limited way, making it less demanding, the second mode is “standard”, and the third is the one with the highest graphic quality and the one that affects performance the most.

Minimum for 1080p

• Windows 10 64-bit as the operating system.
• Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X processor (4 cores and 8 threads or 6 cores and 6 threads).
• 16 GB of RAM.
• GeForce GTX 970/GTX 1650 or Radeon R9 290X graphics card.
• 4 GB of graphics memory.
• DirectX 12.
• 100 GB free space.
• SSD recommended but will support HDD.

It will be possible to play with this configuration 30 FPS with everything in low quality.

Recommended for 1080p

• Windows 10 or Windows 11 64-bit as the operating system.
• Intel Core i9-9900K or Ryzen 7 3700X processor (8 cores and 16 threads).
• 16 GB of RAM.
• GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card.
• 8 GB of graphics memory.
• DirectX 12.
• 100 GB free space.
• Recommended SSD.

This configuration is enough to play in 1080p with high quality and 60 FPS or in 1440p with high quality and 30 FPS.

If we want to activate ray tracing, we will need a GeForce RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 XT. The SSD will be essential and we will be able to play at 1440p resolution and 30 FPS in ultra quality.

It will be possible to play with this equipment 4K with ultra quality at 60 FPS.

In order to play with ray tracing to the maximum, we will need a GeForce RTX 4080 or Radeon RX 7900 XTX. We can play with these graphics cards 4K with ultra quality at 30 FPS.

The requirements have been taken into account performance improvement which we can achieve using the image scaling technologies I’ve listed, meaning the performance data shown would only have room for improvement using lower quality levels with the scaling technologies listed.
