After five years of conspicuous failure, Uruguay voted for a new round of expanded majority rights. Yamandu Orsi exceeded 52 percent, and the streets of Montevideo were dressed in red, blue and white – the colors of the Amplio Front. In front of a crowd of supporters, the president-elect called on the opposition to dialogue and promised a “more integrated society.”
