Microsoft has confirmed something we have been observing for weeks, namely that the availability of the Xbox Controller, an Xbox driver that can be used on other devices, there is a shortage of inventory which makes your purchase very difficult at the moment. As you can see in the picture below, Microsoft doesn’t have inventory either, and some of the few distributors who have some inventory unsurprisingly take advantage of this by raising prices.

According to Microsoft, the cause of this stock failure is problems with the delivery of components needed to assemble the controls. This confirmation is accompanied by a statement that they are already working to quantify the volume of demand that they are unable to meet, and are also working with their suppliers to normalize the situation as soon as possible. However, at least for the time being, they don’t anticipate deadlines for exchanging inventory for the Xbox driver.

Situation it does not seem to affect, yes, the controls itself through the Xbox Design Lab on the official Microsoft website, where you can start from multiple templates and combine elements and design the driver to your liking.

This generation of consoles, both PlayStation and Xbox, seems to be is doomed to greater problems than ever in terms of lack of supplies. At first it was, as you will recall, the consoles themselves, and now we are experiencing a similar situation with the Xbox Controller, which is curiously happening when it seems that supply chain problems in this industry are being addressed.
