Visma has completed the acquisition of Mobilexpense. The Brussels-based company, which specializes in automated spending and expense management solutions, will continue to operate independently under its current name and management team.
Mobilexpense provides solutions for more than 2,000 customers across Europe. The company focuses on specific customer segments with three products: MXP for large companies, Declaree for medium-sized companies and Expense for smaller organizations. In addition to automating expense management, the platform integrates with financial workflows and helps companies comply with regulatory requirements.
Mobileexpense solutions combine business payment cards with reporting and reimbursement. Customers operate in sectors such as industrial and consumer goods, with a strong presence in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden.
After the takeover, Mobilexpense will continue to operate as an independent company within the Visma Group. Merete Hverven, CEO of Visma, describes Mobilexpense as a complement to Visma’s existing HR and payroll services.
Thibaud De Keyzer, CEO of Mobilexpense, sees the acquisition as an opportunity to offer customers more added value. By working with Visma, he expects to drive efficiency and compliance on a larger scale.
Fortino Capital, the main shareholder for seven years, sees the takeover as a logical next step. According to Fortino partner Steven De Troyer, Mobilexpense’s expertise fits well with Visma’s broader financial and HR solutions offering.
With this acquisition, Visma is taking the next step in expanding its European activities in the area of expense management.
