On June 1, the United States approved a new military aid package to Ukraine that includes HIMARS missile artillery systems and jet munitions. This is a 700 million dollar aid package. The Pentagon later said that the transfer of several systems to Ukraine is just a starting point.

Ukrainian artillery began to master the system in early June. The course lasted for three weeks, during which Ukrainian soldiers were taught how to use and maintain the system.
