Apple felt it necessary to release a second beta of iOS 16 for developers with many advanced additions. With each beta update, more stability and bug fixes are provided for better use. However, iOS 16 is still in the early stages, so don’t install it on an everyday driver. In addition to system performance, Apple also adds new features for developers to check and report bugs. iOS 16 seems to offer a wide variety of features and changes, and we’ve compiled a list of them for your convenience.

iOS 16 is a big update considering the number of features it will bring. While the new features are more than a desirable addition, the highlight of the update is the customizable lock screen. You’ll be able to change the font size and style, add filters, and more. If you are a registered developer, you can download the latest beta from Apple Developer Center.

• Reports for messages in iOS 16 will now cover SMS for individual carriers.
• iOS 16 supports LTE backup.

• The astronomy background will now show a green dot in the middle to indicate your location.
• Changed the wallpaper section in Settings to make it easier to customize your wallpaper.
• The interface of Apple Cash and Apple Card has been changed.
• When saving a screenshot, a new “Save to Quick Note” option appears.
• iOS 16 beta 2 makes it easy to remove a locked screen by simply swiping up.
