Users who did not want (or could not) upgrade to Windows 11 have good news, namely that We can already confirm (to our surprise) Windows 10 22H2thus, another update to Windows 10, which confirms that Microsoft continues to think of its users and that, at least in the short term, “major” updates will continue to come, although it is true that due to indications, quotation marks are required.
Unlike Windows 11 22H2, about which we have been receiving information for a long time, Until now, Windows 10 22H2 has been shrouded in invisibility which sometimes led us to doubt whether it would even exist, even more so since, if so, it would be the only update in 2022, because we’ve never seen Windows 10 22H1. Of course, we didn’t have any major Windows 11 updates in the first half of the year either.
Be that as it may, the difference between the visibility of the two updates is striking, now that we can consider them confirmed, even if Windows 10 22H2 confirmation was caused by a Microsoft erroras we can read in Windows Latest. And Windows 10 users who choose to install the latest cumulative update will be surprised to enter the About Your Computer section.

As you can see in the picture above, this update is the one from build 19045.1806, compared to 19044.1766, which is current for most upgraded users. However, the surprise comes when verifying that the specifications state that the version of the operating system installed on this system is Windows 10 22H2, which means that this is an update that is present in Redmond, so we can expect it to arrive in a few months.
Obviously build 19045.1806 is not Windows 10 22H2Well, as I mentioned, we’re talking about a cumulative update that Microsoft releases on a regular basis. While we don’t know what news the “big” (yes, in quotes) Windows 10 update will bring us, we can expect some reasonably remarkable news that we won’t find in this update.
However, the lack of noise about it, even from insiders, also puts us on track we shouldn’t expect much from Windows 10 22H2. Unlike the update for Windows 11, which promises to arrive loaded with lots of new features, it is very likely that users who stay on Windows 10 will go through this update unnoticed.
