TikTok releases its first album with its most viral hits

Social network TikTok has compiled some of its viral music successes adapted with an orchestra into an album that will be released on CD and disc this summer, the platform announced on Friday.

TikTok, associated with the Warner Classics record label, will enter the traditional music market for the first time.

Six singles from the album will be released on streaming platforms on July 8.

18 tracks in the album, TikTok Classics: Meme and Viral Hits It will be available on stream and in stores in August.

Anyone who takes a glance at the famous short video social network will recognize topics such as: No Root by Alice Merton or piano song parts By Danilo Stankovic, viewed by over 3.4 million users.

Moreover Wellerman Sea SlumIt reached TikTok in early 2021, after Scottish postman Nathan Evans recorded it singing this 19th-century folk song.

The song quickly went viral, and Queen’s Brian May and acclaimed songwriter Andrew Lloyd Webber are among those who suggested adapting the song.
