Japanese startup S’more has developed a special application based on artificial intelligence to fingerprint lost dogs.

This was reported by Nikkei Asia, according to Ukrinform reports.

As mentioned, a dog’s nose print is as unique as a human fingerprint and remains unchanged even as the animal ages.

If the animal disappears, it is assumed that anyone who sees it can upload a photo of the dog’s nose print to the S’more app. If there is a picture of the dog’s nose in the database, the app will report the match.

The identification accuracy is estimated to be about 90%.

S’more also plans to expand the app to include features that help users manage pet vaccination records and other information.

As Ukrinform reports, Google has introduced a new feature that finds a replica of a pet in historical charts.
