Microsoft Phone Link is probably the best tool for integrating Android with Windows that the company has ever introduced. Phone Link was previously known as Your Phone, and besides the name, Microsoft has made many changes to the program over the years. We don’t know about changes to the app in the distant future, but the company has made some exciting changes to Phone Link recently due to updates.

The first change to note is the new collapsible notification bar. If you use Phone Link, you know that on the left you get all your notifications, your phone’s battery status and other important information. And since all of these are now part of the newly crashed notification bar, you may not always see them. In our experience, the program looks much cleaner when the panel is minimized.

The ability to search for messages is another useful feature of the program. Phone Link now lets you search “Inbox” and on your smartphone. Try typing anything in the Search Messages field and the program will display all messages containing what you just entered. In our previous articles, we mentioned that Microsoft will bring a message search feature in a future update.

The latest version of the program is 1.22052.532.0, so if you don’t see the changes mentioned above, make sure you have the latest version installed.
