I could say it’s something I’ve been waiting years for in TVs and devices, but I’d be lying because it’s actually something I think should have become mainstream decades ago.

And I know it’s not a minority desire, but something I’ve talked about on thousands of occasions with so many people and I’ve always come to the conclusion that we all wanted something like this. And that is what is identified with the name «Night listening mode«, we find a function that after activation it automatically adjusts the volume of what we play to normalize it and thus avoid surprises.

That’s exactly what this new NVIDIA Shield firmware feature offers, which automatically adjusts the volume of what we’re listening to when HDMI is used for the audio signal, to enjoy normal sound.
