American company Bell showed perspective attack helicopter 360 Invictus in the video. Developed as part of the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program, the helicopter can replace the Bell OH-58D Kiowa Warrior and AH-64 Apache. This was reported by Drive.
It was noted that the helicopter was 90 percent ready. 360 Invictus is made according to the classic single screw scheme. The promising helicopter received a new version of the carrier system used in the Bell 525 Relentless series.
The prototype received mock-ups of weapons that the 360 Invictus could carry. The arsenal of the helicopter includes a triple-barreled XM915 20-millimeter cannon and eight gun suspension points. The vehicle is equipped with AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and Common Launch Tubes (CLT) launchers that can be transported by unmanned aerial vehicles.
360 Invictus received a 3D-printed T901 engine model. This made it possible to optimize the shape of the helicopter without testing the power unit. The Invictus 360 could make its maiden flight in 2023.
