Google has released the fourth and final beta version of Android 13. The official release is next, and the company says it’s “just a few weeks” before it hits supported Pixel devices.
The fourth Android 13 beta is designed to allow app developers to conduct final testing and development keeping the new version in mind. This build is actually an Android 13 release candidate for Pixel devices and an Android emulator.
Since platform stability was achieved through the previous beta, all application surfaces have since been final, including limitations for SDK and NDK APIs, application-specific system behavior, and non-SDK interfaces. The Beta 4 / Release Candidate released today includes fixes for previously reported issues and should be the most stable previous version of the software.
Android 13 comes with new privacy features like enabling notifications and an updated photo picker, themed app icons, per-app language support, HDR video, Bluetooth LE Audio, and MIDI 2.0 over USB support. There are also better tools for app developers to take advantage of tablets and big-screen devices that extend what’s built into Android 12L. Source
