NVIDIA Broadcast integrates with CORSAIR iCUE and Elgato

On many occasions this happens the final value of the collaboration is much more valuable than the sum of its parts, to the point where you even ask yourself “How come this didn’t happen sooner?” And this is, in my opinion, one of those cases where Corsair and NVIDIA are working together to integrate key features of NVIDIA Broadcast into software CORSAIR iCUE, Elgato Wave Link and Elgato Camera Hub so that users of the brand’s hardware and software with NVIDIA graphics adapters can get the most out of their Settings.

In case you don’t know him, NVIDIA Broadcast is a software solution compatible with all RTX 20 and RTX 30 series graphics adapters (including mobile models), which allows you to apply a variety of effects to your PC’s audio and video outputs, providing effects ranging from noise reduction of the signal captured by the microphone to video background effects. A few months ago, we informed you about the news of its latest version, and for those interested in using it with OBS Studio, we also published a step-by-step guide on how to configure and use it.

from his side Corsair’s iCUE technology needs no introduction, as over the years it has established itself as one of the best LED lighting technologies on the market. And the same can be said about Elgato devices (of course and their software), an absolute reference for streamers and content creators, a key group for the company and whose devices have been designed very specifically to facilitate and improve their activities.

Thanks to this collaboration between Corsair and NVIDIA, software users of Corsair and Elgato devices powered by GeForce RTX graphics adapters can will be pleased with the integration of NVIDIA Broadcast functions, both in the area of audio and video.

In the case of audio, NVIDIA features based on artificial intelligence it will give users a much clearer and sharper sound from almost the entire range of CORSAIR headsets, Elgato microphones and XLR microphones with Elgato Wave XLR. Thanks to machine learning, which is supported by Tensor Core GPU RTX cores, NVIDIA Broadcast learns to clearly identify the user’s voice, and the software is able to clean up the rest of the sounds. In this regard, and from my own experience, I have a laptop with a fan that is a bit “noisy” (sometimes I’ve been asked if I’m on a helipad), but when I use the NVIDIA Broadcast filter to talk to my friends, its sound is reduced , until it practically disappears.

And if we talk about video, as you can see in the tutorial I mentioned earlier, NVIDIA Broadcast identifies and adjusts the image background in real timewith a level of speed and accuracy that is more than surprising and, very importantly, with more than adjusted consumption of system resources.

With this new integration, if the iCUE software detects support for Corsair or ST100 headphones and the system has a GeForce RTX GPU, it will automatically offer the option to install the NVIDIA Audio Effects SDK. In this way, the sound cleaning function will already be available. It also integrates with Elgato Wave Link if needed, so we can use it with most common streaming solutions.

As for the video, a new effects tab has been added to Elgato Camera Hub (version 1.3 or later) through which we have access to all the background effects included in NVIDIA Broadcast, so you don’t have to configure them in the NVIDIA software and later select it as a source for Elgato Camera Hub. Once this modification is done, we can select “Elgato Virtual Camera” as the source for those applications and services in which we want to use the image with the modified background.

Thus, this integration brings the benefits of NVIDIA Broadcast, which is supported by NVIDIA hardware, to those users who were unfamiliar with NVIDIA Broadcast and/or who did not want or know how to configure said software. for use in conjunction with Corsair and Elgato software.
