OUR NASA posted new images taken James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). As previously reported, Jupiter will be one of the first celestial bodies studied James Webb – despite the fact that the telescope is the most advanced equipment of mankind for studying the most distant points of our Universe. Image of Jupiter discovered space agency was recorded with an infrared camera.
The telescope will use its powerful sensors to spy on Earth’s neighbor
Images released NASA these are not color images of Jupiter, but infrared recordings. As we can see in the first image, some points of the largest planet in our solar system are very bright, such as the band that surrounds the entire planet at the equator, and big red spot Jupiter is a giant anticyclone with a diameter larger than the Earth.
Near Jupiter there is a black dot that casts a shadow a little to the left big red spot. This point is Europa, a natural satellite of the planet, where it is assumed that under its giant ice crust there is an ocean. The second image shows better the moons of Thebe (above Europa), Metis (to the right of Jupiter) and Jupiter’s ring. This image capture shows yet another technological advance James Webb Space Telescope: its ability to observe objects in our system, illuminated by the sun, in the infrared and without much interference.

project James Webb telescope was developed National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in collaboration with European and Canadian space agencies. It was originally supposed to be launched in 2007. But some problems delayed the launch of the model, one of them was the high cost of production of the James Webb telescope, which was increasing more and more and back in 2005 made Engineers rethink the original design.
NASA has already released the first five color images of the JWST.
In 2016, the telescope was declared ready, but its project was again put on hold due to construction difficulties and remained so until 2019, when it was finally assembled. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been more delays until NASA finally scheduled for December 18, 2021 for release.
With it, researchers will be able to observe even more things from space, being able to see some of the oldest galaxies in the universe and other celestial bodies such as black holes.
