Azul Linhas Aéreas is in the process of regularizing its new aircraft. The company has already filed a document and asked the Brazilian regulator to transport the Airbus A320neo aircraft, Donald Duck’s aircraft.
He will use the registration number PR-YSI (msn 10804), has a character coloration. Donald Duck is part of a campaign that supports the partnership between Azul and Disney. The plane should arrive in Brazil from April 15 to May 15.
The aircraft reportedly experienced hydraulic problems that led to an emergency landing in Costa Rica.
The Airbus A320neo is expected to land in Belo Horizonte. In the state capital of Minas Gerais, it will undergo the process of nationalization and customs. From there it will travel to Viracopos Airport in Campinas-SP and will be set up domestically.
Donald Duck’s plane will be the third plane to feature a Disney character. Azul already has custom aircraft with Mickey and Mini on an Airbus A320neo with registration PR-YSH and an Airbus A321neo with registration PR-YJF respectively. It is worth remembering that the partnership also guarantees a fourth aircraft with a personal figure. However, there is no confirmation of which character will receive the art.
Interestingly, both A320neo Mickey Mouse and A321neo Minnie, depicted on the fuselage, refer to the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney resort in Florida. Thus, the action with Azul is part of a special moment in the world of magical holidays.
The first picture of the aircraft was taken by photographer Clement Alloan in Toulouse, France. He noted that the plane has the same color scheme as Mickey’s themed plane as Minnie’s plane. In the picture, the plane is still without engines.
A few weeks later, the French manufacturer completed the assembly of the aircraft, installed the engines, which made it possible to conduct the first ground tests and the first flight. Alloing was there to make the first recordings of the car in motion. See below.
