Twitter Inc., owner of the Twitter social network, will hold a shareholder meeting on September 13 to vote on the acquisition of the company by SpaceX and Tesla
As reported by Ukrinform, CNBC reports it.
According to filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the shareholders’ meeting will begin at 8 PM Kyiv time and will be available via webcast.
Shareholders will be able to watch the meeting live and then voting will begin.
Earlier, Twitter Inc.’s board of directors called on shareholders to approve the sale of the company to SpaceX and Tesla chairman Elon Musk.
As reported by Ukrinform, Twitter Inc. On Tuesday, July 12, billionaire filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk to force him to complete the previously signed deal to buy the social network for $44 billion. The court must decide whether Musk has sufficient arguments that the social network violated the terms of the agreement so he can reject it.
Last week, Delaware Chancery Court (USA) Twitter Inc. decided in his favour. Hearing on expedited proceedings will last five days in October.
