Samsung quietly introduced model with 5G connectivity of your Galaxy A23 smartphone. The 4G-enabled device model entered the Brazilian market in March this year. The 5G version stands out for its large screen, Snapdragon 695 chip, and 5000 mAh battery.

The new Galaxy A23 5G features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ Infinity-V IPS display, just like the model with 4G connectivity. The refresh rate of the 4G model is 90Hz, but the refresh rate of the 5G model has not yet been confirmed. The new smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 used in the Galaxy A23 4G.

The new Galaxy A23 5G also features 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot up to 1TB. The 5000 mAh battery is the same as the Galaxy A23 4G, and although the specifications published by Samsung did not mention support for fast charging, the device’s FCC information does mention that it supports 25W fast charging. The device also supports 25W fast charging.

The set of cameras of the Galaxy A23 5G smartphone is similar to the Galaxy A23 4G and consists of an 8 MP front camera with f / 2.2 aperture for selfies and four rear cameras – a 50 MP main camera with f / 1.8 aperture and stabilization. 5MP f/2.2 ultra wide, 2MP f/2.4 macro, and 2MP f/2.4 for depth sensing.

In addition to supporting 5G networks, the new smartphone also supports 4G LTE networks, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB Type-C port. Other features of the Galaxy A23 5G include a fingerprint sensor, Samsung Knox security platform, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and more. The operating system is Android 12 with One UI 4.1 interface.

Pricing and availability information for the Galaxy A23 with 5G connectivity has yet to be released. The 4G model hit the Brazilian market in March for an initial price of R$1,999, but can already be found in the Samsung store for R$1,340.
