LG announced this Monday (08) a wireless headset Tone Free T90, which will hit the market as the company’s new top phone. The T90 headset supports Dolby head tracking system, which tracks the user’s head movements for spatial audio, providing a more immersive experience when playing an audio track. The device also features a new internal structure to improve noise cancellation. The device will launched in September, but so far LG has not revealed the price.

With Dolby Head Tracking, the sound is recalibrated as the user moves their head, providing a more natural sound. LG claims that users will experience more advanced levels of immersion when playing soundtracks from music, movies and video games. The Tone Free T90 charging case uses patented UVnano technology to kill bacteria. It can also function as a Bluetooth transmitter, allowing the user to connect an auxiliary cable to the case and to another non-wireless device. LG’s press release states that the noise cancellation “features a new internal structure with larger drivers to create deeper and more satisfying bass”.

LG claims that the head-tracking system was designed by Dolby specifically for headphones, which could indicate superiority over competitors such as Apple’s AirPods and Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 2, which have similar spatial audio systems. But to confirm this claim, it will be necessary to evaluate the device more fully. The T90 headset has a battery life of 9 hours, with a further 18 hours from the charging case.

Headphones Tone Free Fit

In addition to the top device, LG introduced Tone Free Fit TF8 Wireless Headphones. The model is designed for sports and has two small silicone “fins” that ensure the stability of the earpiece inside the ear, even during intense physical exertion.

The TF8 is IPX7 water resistant and has a battery life of up to 10 hours. The headset will also be released in September, but LG has not yet announced its price.
