The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine appealed to the company Meta, the owner of Instagram, in connection with the blocking of the Association of Defenders of Azovstal
According to Ukrinform, this was announced on Telegram by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
Fedorov said, “Today I received a request from the Association of Defenders of Azovstal to have the Instagram account blocked. Our team has already sent a letter to Meta requesting that the page be unblocked.”
The Minister also noted that letters were sent to Meta about the association’s president’s page and the other 5 pages about Azov’s activities. All blocked now.
“Pages of Ukrainian defenders cannot be blocked. We are waiting for a quick response from the Meta team. We hope that soon the company can comprehensively change their approach to content moderation and solve the problem of mass blocking of Ukrainian users. The world should know the truth about the war in Ukraine,” he said.
As reported, the Association of Families of Defenders of Azovstal is calling on the authorities of Ukraine and international organizations, especially the ICRC and the UN, to prevent the opening of false trials against the fighters of the Azov Regiment.
