Today was a big day, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold4, the latest update one of the biggest banners on the flexible smartphone market and also one of the most interesting for its design, build quality and specifications.
On the outer level, it is the first thing that attracts attention which meant continuity which the Galaxy Z Fold4 accepts. In general, it is almost identical to the Galaxy Z Fold3, and we say almost because it has some minor differences in terms of size, as we can see when comparing its measurements.
The former measures 155.1 x 130.1 x 6.3 mm when open and 155.1 x 67.1 x 15.8 mm when closed, while the latter measures 158.2 x 128.1 x 6.4 mm and 158.2 x 67.1 x 16 mm. It’s also slightly lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and has smaller screen bezels, allowing you to get a small size without having to make the terminal bigger. Good job Samsung on this one.

How could it be otherwise, Samsung paid the utmost attention to the construction quality of the Galaxy Z Fold4 and it can be seen on combination of aluminum (chassis) and glass which uses this terminal. In this sense, we cannot ignore its IPX8 certification, which translates into a high degree of water resistance and, according to Samsung, it can last up to 30 minutes immersed in a meter and a half of fresh water.
Everything we’ve said so far confirms that the Galaxy Z Fold4 is a more polished and refined smartphone, although the most important changes are undoubtedly in the hardware. The novelty from Samsung uses the latest generation of SoC, specifically a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, a chip that is manufactured on a 4nm node and that has an eight-core CPU divided into three blocks, one with a Cortex-X2 core at 3.19 GHz, another with three Cortex-A710 cores at 2.75 GHz and another with four Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8 GHz Its GPU is Adreno 670, a very powerful solution that will allow us to enjoy demanding games of the latest generation with complete fluency.
