Chinese company Xiaomi presented a working prototype of a humanoid robot called CyberOne.
As reported by Ukrinform, Engadget reported it.
During the presentation, CyberOne took a few steps to the center of the stage and presented a flower to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun and politely agreed to take a selfie with the man in charge of his presence. The robot was also then able to leave the stage on its own.
Generally nicknamed “Metal Brother”, the robot is 177 centimeters tall and weighs 52 kg.
The “humanoid machine” has a face in the form of a curved OLED panel that can see the world in 3D and can identify “85 types of environmental sounds and 45 classifications of human emotions” by hearing with two microphones.
A copy of CyberOne costs between $89,000 and $104,000. It is not yet known when the company will begin mass production of the robot, but it has promised to continue adding new features to its first humanoid robot.
As reported by Ukrinform, Robotics X Lab, formerly owned by Chinese tech company Tencent, presented the new robot Max.
