Launched this April in India, Smartphone POCO M4 5G the company has finally confirmed its global launch. Noteworthy is the fact that the global version of the device contains a set of cameras with lower resolution sensors compared to the model originally released in India.

According to the official specifications, the global version of the POCO M4 5G smartphone is equipped with a 6.58-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 or Full HD+, a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, a touch screen sampling rate of 240Hz, and a maximum peak brightness of 500 nits. The screen of the device is also protected by Gorilla Glass.

Like the original POCO M4 5G available in India, the global version of the device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core chip, 4GB/6GB LPDDR4x RAM, 64GB/128GB combat capacity based on UFS (Universal Flash Memory) standard. 2.2 slot, microSD card slot up to 1TB and 5000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support and 22.5W charger included. The phone also supports memory expansion technology that allows users to get more virtual RAM by using some of the internal memory.

POCO M4 5G global offers a more modest set of cameras

The main difference between the original POCO M4 5G and the global POCO M4 5G is the camera array. The original model, released in India, has an 8MP front camera with f/2.45 aperture and two rear cameras – a 50MP primary with f/1.8 aperture and 2MP for depth sensing.

In the global version of the device, the 8MP front camera has been replaced with a 5MP f/2.2 camera, and the 50MP main rear camera has been replaced with a 13MP f/2.2 aperture. The device retains a 2-megapixel rear camera for depth sensing.

POCO M4 5G’s global connectivity features include support for 5G and 4G LTE networks, dual SIM chips, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. Other features of the device include FM radio support, face unlock, fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and more. The operating system is Android 12 with MIUI 13 interface.
