İzmir Anatolian High School and Buca İnci Özer Naillı Science High School students were invited as finalists in the Disaster Management category of the “Technology for the Benefit of Humanity” competition held in Rize. İzmir Anatolian High School and Buca İnci-Özer Nail Science High School took place with the team named “FAMILY” in the “Technology for the Benefit of Humanity-Disaster Management” category, where 136 teams reached the finals of 17,090 projects applications in total. The team called “FAMILY”, consisting of Mert Batuhan Şahin, Eren Çömezoğlu, Nebil Yurttaş and Fırat Hacıoğlu, with Yasemin Horasan as a consultant teacher, received the “Best Presentation” award in the Disaster Management category. In addition, it was among the top 10 projects out of 136 invited projects in the Disaster Management category and was invited to the award ceremony, where the first 3 will be determined between August 30 and September 4 in Samsun.

Çiğli Science High School, one of the schools that brought İzmir success, spent a successful year on the way to the top positions in the Tübitak and Teknofest competitions and participates in the TEKNOFEST Black Sea Turkey final to be held in Samsun on August 30 – September 4, 2022 with 4 teams. The first team from Çiğli Science High School was ranked 3rd in Turkey out of 1780 teams in the Tübitak 2204-D Climate Change category, while the second team was in the top 10 out of 4816 teams in the “Agricultural Technologies” field. In the field of ‘Biotechnology Innovation’, both teams came in the top 10 of 3,592 teams.
