The game gives us the option to face another player in local mode or play alone, facing a group of CPU Kirbys. The goal is to reach the finish line and be crowned the Kirby who ate the most strawberries.
The mini-games take place in a colorful environment full of sweets and food. You will have to eat as many strawberries as you can, collect as many as you can to be the biggest Kirby, overcome the obstacles that appear while you progress in a straight line to the finish line and try to knock your opponents off the track. . Once you play Grand Prix Gourmet, one of the 5 game modes that Kirby’s Dream Buffet has to offer, this dynamic repeats itself quite a bit.
