Ege University is a stakeholder organization under the TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, which was held at Samsun Çarşamba Airport between August 30 and September 4, 2022, with the vision of the National Technology Move and the goal of Turkey to develop technology .

Emphasizing that TEKNOFEST is a great source of motivation for young people, Ege University Rector Prof. Dr Necdet Budak said: “Our university is one of the stakeholders of the world’s most comprehensive Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, which is organized with the support of key Turkish institutions and companies led by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation. We are very pleased to be a stakeholder of TEKNOFEST, which aims to ensure that our country’s vision of the National Technology Move is embedded in all layers of society. As a family from Ege University, we took our place at the festival, which is a great motivation for the young people who are our future, with the projects we prepared together with our students and academics. I wish success to all teams, especially our university teams, who will compete with their qualified works at TEKNOFEST, which aims to increase the domestic and national production of our country.

TEKNOFEST 2022 will be held with the contributions of institutions and organizations that play an important role in Turkey’s national technology ecosystem, led by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

In addition to the teams participating in the competitions organized within the framework of the festival, Ege University also participates as a stakeholder in the context of stand activities. At the Ege University stand; Oguz Unmanned Ground Vehicle (2019 Aegean IDA Team), Umay High Altitude Rocket (2019 Aegean Rocket Team), Advanced Category Underwater Systems Karaburun (2021 Aegean Rov Team), Unmanned Marine Vehicle – MV Savarona 2 (2022 Aegean IDA Team), Unmanned Aerial Tool – Gökyaran (2022 Aegean UAV Team) and Biomanus – Advanced Arm Prosthesis for Upper Extremity Amputees and SAVTEK Aegean Defense Technologies Community.

The VR glasses used by the students in the project development processes of the EU Research-Oriented Student Center (AROM), which continues its activities within the Ege University EBİLTEM Technology Transfer Office, are presented to the interest and experience of the visitors of the Ege University position.
