ESA reports this, Ukrinform reports.
Both space objects are stated to be one billion light-years from Earth.
Although SDSS J115331 and LEDA 2073461 appear to be colliding with each other in this image, the placement of the two galaxies is probably coincidental as they do not actually interact with each other.
While these two galaxies are cosmic objects passing by Tedeska, Hubble has captured a stunning array of interacting galaxies in the past.
This image is one of many telescope observations that highlight highlights of the Galaxy Zoo project.
Launched in 2007, the Galaxy Zoo project and its successors are large-scale community science projects in which groups of hundreds of thousands of volunteers work to classify galaxies.
As Ukrinform reports, the NASA/ESA Hubble space telescope took a picture of the dwarf irregular galaxy NGC 1156 in the constellation Aries.
