Although in terms of technical specifications, it is always a bit lower than what the great high-end products on the market offer, Google has managed to position its smartphones very well. Remarkable price/performance ratio, some advanced features (especially in relation to photography), perfect integration of search engine services… in short, there are many reasons why Google mobiles are a good choice, generation after generation.
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are likely to debut this year the sooner we start to have information about them. And it’s not even two months into 2022 when there was a major leak on both devices. Probably as a result of this early leak, Google decided to release a preview of this generation during Google I/O in early May.
This was supposed to end with leaks and stuff… but it didn’t. On the contrary, between the end of May and the beginning of June, we heard about several prototypes of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, which were first seen on eBay and later on the Facebook Marketplace. This is undoubtedly the generation of Pixels that has caused the most calls and therefore is one of the most anticipated. And although we were already able to imagine the approximate date of its introduction, we finally have official confirmation.
And Google just announced via Twitterthat the presentation of Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will take place in a month, on Thursday, October 6, at 10:00 PM ET, 4:00 PM Peninsular Spain Time, 3:00 PM Canary Islands. And what will we see in the presentation? Google says we’ll see the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, the Google Pixel Watch, which was also announced at Google I/O, new members of the Nest family, and some Pixel Buds.
The launch event for Made by Google will be held in Williamsburg, New York, and yes, We are talking about a personal event, although only invited members of the press may attend. However, the event will be streamed live over the internet, although strangely, the stream from Google’s online store will only be accessible from Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom. For viewers in the rest of the world, the broadcast will be available via YouTube. And the really interesting part is that with this segregation, Google would already tell us in which markets the new devices will debut from day one.
So it seems that Google didn’t want to keep any surprises at the event. Now, after the rumors of a foldable Pixel in recent months, it’s possible that Google will finally surprise us.
