Nuland noted that limiting Russia’s access to high technologies is one of the important aspects of sanctions against Russia for its aggression in Ukraine. In this context, he reminded that not only Group of Seven countries and the EU, but also Singapore, Australia and other states participated in these sanctions.

At the same time, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that sanctions in the field of high technologies will work not immediately, but in a certain perspective, but some of their consequences are already felt.

“Russians all over the world are trying to find what they need. We’ve heard stories of Putin and his army removing chips and parts from air conditioners and washing machines to put them in weapon systems. He also assured that the United States is working in this sense with countries that have not yet decided to join, to strengthen the sanctions regime against the Russian Federation.
