microsoft wants every user to be able to fix at least some of their computers, so he posted a video on the official Surface YouTube channel showing how to disassemble surface notebook go 2 make repairs. Of course, as soon as the video starts, a warning appears that the company recommends seeking professional help for all device repairs, which sounds like a disclaimer, although it’s no less true that if you don’t know what you’re doing, it’s better to contact someone else with the necessary knowledge and skills.
To access the insides of the Surface Laptop Go 2, one of Microsoft’s entry-level laptops, you have to remove a handful of screws and remove the keyboard cover. Once you do this, users with the necessary knowledge and skills can replace things like the batterywhich only requires the removal of four PH00 screws before removal.
Other available features are SSD, Surface Connect port, speakers, fan cooler and I/O system.. However, the same cannot be said for RAM, which cannot be upgraded by the user. This is a detail that might scare many people into buying the Surface Laptop Go 2.
The Surface Laptop Go 2, if purchased from Spain, has a base price of 669 euros. They are currently offered in two configurations: one has an Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage for data, while the other increases the RAM to 8 GB in exchange for paying 769 euros. There is another variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of data storage, but it is out of stock, at least for now.
In recent years we have witnessed a discussion around right to rectification which generated more noise in the United States than in Europe, even though it was raised in both places. Fortunately, at least in the European Union, the issue seems to be quite well on its way in favor of the right to repair.
Microsoft has also taken steps in favor of the right to repair, which isn’t a bad thing, seeing as how iFixit had no mercy years ago when it came to giving several Surface computers, including the Pro 6, scores of 1 out of 10.
