Logitech accidentally confirms new iPad Pro

A few weeks ago, when we reviewed what Apple might introduce at Far Out, we closed the list by mentioning the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which will almost certainly will receive an update by the end of the year. Let us remind you that currently the current generations are the fifth for the 12.9-inch model and the third for the 11-inch model. So the sixth and fourth are waiting for us.

We closed this preview, talking about the iPad Pro, by stating «The big question is whether this update will take place in this presentation or whether, on the contrary, Apple are saving it for the next event which could be in october or november«. Now (two weeks, actually) we’re pretty clear that they weren’t part of the back to school keynote menu, so even without official confirmation, we can be pretty sure that this generational change will happen. The question is whether in the presentation in October or November.

Most rumors in this regard point to October as the month in which the iPad Pro line will finally make the leap to the Apple M2. And if Mark Gurman’s prediction at the beginning of the year comes true, Apple has prepared such an intense autumn for us that there could be a repeat of what happened in 2020, with presentations in September, October and November. In this case, it is speculated that the October event would be done by the iPad, and the November one by computers.

Logitech accidentally confirms new iPad Pro

And today, as we can read in 9to5mac, we have even more reason to hope that it will actually see the light of day in a few weeks. Why? Because by mistake Logitech has confirmed the new iPad Pro in the list of devices compatible with Logitech Crayon, pen-stylus-pencil-pointer or whatever you want to call this type of device, designed exclusively for Apple tablets. The entries that have already disappeared from the list, but which you can see in the image above, are as follows:

  • iPad Pro 12.9″ (6th generation)
    • Model: Coming soon
  • iPad Pro 11-inch (4th generation)
    • Model: Coming soon

As you can see, the models mentioned on the Logitech Crayon website are exactly what we hope will represent a generational change to the current 12.9-inch and 11-inch models. And the fact that they were added to the list of compatible devices suggests that everything is already being prepared for the market, which takes on even more weight, considering that the relationship between Apple and Logitech built on the Crayon is quite close. It is not for nothing that the Logitech device is the only one on the market that has the same functions as the Apple Pencil.

So, even in the absence of official confirmation, everything points to that in a few weeks we will see the next release of the device those from Cupertino, in case we wanted more a few weeks ago.
