One of the leading game manufacturers in the industry, Hideo Kojima has teamed up with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to launch a new watch.. A collaboration between Kojima Productions and the US space agency resulted in the creation of Space Ludens.

Unicorn, the company responsible for producing the product, said the name Space Ludens is a tribute to both the space agency and Ludens, Kojima Productions’ mascot that looks like an astronaut.

Space Ludens will be available for purchase later this month. Sales will open on September 27, next Tuesday (27), but the product can only be purchased through this link. However, anyone looking to purchase the watch needs to hurry as only a small amount will be available to the general public.

In the Hideo Kojima-NASA partnership announcement, Unicorn said that only 600 watches would go on sale, with no stock replenishment forecast. Out of this total, 100 of them will receive a skull mask based on the Kojima Productions logo.

“Anicorn developed Space Ludens with Kojima Productions, using the NASA logo as one of the design elements. This is a perfect match with the concept of “bring fun to the unknown universe,” Unicorn emphasized when announcing the product on social networks.

High price for premium material

Although some data has already been disclosed, the manufacturer has not yet released the main information: the price. Nonetheless, A recent partnership between NASA and Unicorn saw the watch sell for over $1,000.. The cost corresponds to approximately 5.12 thousand reais at the current price.

Unicorn has revealed that the Space Ludens will sport a 34mm diameter. Using the Kojima Productions mascot as inspiration, the manufacturer revealed that the astronaut suit Ludens used was the basis for the watch’s design and creation.

The product specifications state that it will come in silver with gold screw details. Given the limited number of the product, it will be made of premium material that will receive 5 ATM water protection.
