Japanese multinational Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will build a light water nuclear reactor in collaboration with three energy companies.

It was noted that energy companies Hokkaido Electric Power Co., Shikoku Electric Power Co. will take part in the project. and Kyushu Electric Power Co.
The capacity of the new reactor is expected to be around 1.2 million kilowatts. It is scheduled to be put into service in the mid-2030s.
