Polar Pacer is new range of heart rate monitors introduced a Finnish brand specializing in sports equipment for training and health monitoring. The series brings back the name of the heart rate monitor of the same name, which the company created in the early 80’s and is distributed in two versions with prices from 199 euros.
Running is a pleasure for millions of people, and Polar especially targets them with the series to which it is committed “Providing the guidance and support needed to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle, a completely renewed high-performance hardware platform based on a branded heart rate monitor and powerful training tools for an unrivaled running experience”the company states in its presentation.
Polar Pacer Pro
version for run professional provides the most experienced runners with advanced training tools that Polar says allow “Nose lab on the wrist”. Nodding ability of this heart rate monitor to know maximum oxygen volume (VO2max), which can be processed by any organism without having to go through the laboratory and perform complex tests with a mask on a treadmill.
These are important data for training, as well as the heart rate, which of course this watch supports, with a premiere and advanced sensor with ten LEDs which in different wavelengths offer greater light penetration and together with four promise great accuracy without the need for chest straps. It also has other sensors such as GPS, altimeter, barometer, compass with magnetometer and accelerometer.
Polar Pacer Pro has a MIP color reflective display (non-contact pixel memory), which improves visibility in bright situations. It is 1.2 inches with a thickness of only 1.1 mm, is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and has optimized backlight control that adjusts the brightness of the surrounding screen.
Polar says it has a more powerful processor than any of its previous developments and seven times more internal RAM than the Polar Vantage M2. The company promises autonomy up to 35 hours with activated GPS and HR recording and up to 100 hours of energy-saving 265 mAh battery power.
The heart rate monitor also includes some smart watch features such as music control and notification with support for mobile connection via Bluetooth 5.1. The case is made of aluminum and promises durability at the “military level”. Comes with a silicone strap, but all types of straps can be purchased as an option. Polar Pacer Pro is now available on its website, in four colors and for a price € 299. A model to follow for advanced training that fits a privileged position in the large Polar catalog.
fleece pacer
The most basic version of the series is available for booking and lowers the price up to € 199. Polar reduces the surface finish of the case compared to the top model aviation aluminum, heart rate sensors and other sensors and navigation features.
