There are already three generations of the iPhone 14, in which the Pro surname, despite carrying a higher price, is the one taking the lead in user demand. So much so that we actually have to remember the surprise we experienced (and especially that they experienced in Cupertino), in October 2020, with the launch of the iPhone 12 family, the generation that marked the debut of the Mini model. .
In the previous generation, i.e. iPhone 11, the standard model was a big sales success, although it’s true that the Pro and Pro Max models have also done quite well in terms of sales. In this way, Apple decided to keep them in the next generation, something logical, but reinforced it with a cheaper and smaller option, the iPhone 12 Mini. We all understood that Apple’s predictions were that the Mini would be the best seller thanks to the low price.
However, and as you will also recall, the most requested models of the iPhone 12 generation were the Pro and Pro Max, and surprisingly The iPhone Mini did not arouse the expected interest of users. Personally, and even more so after the in-depth (and, in my opinion, very accurate) analysis carried out by my colleague Javier Cortijo, I never understood that this model, like its successor, the iPhone 13 Mini, would perform better in terms of sales, because it was for the most balanced offer.

So since the iPhone 12 generation, we have seen how every year, with each new generation change, Ultimately, the Pro and Pro Max are great protagonists. This year, with the Mini being replaced by the Plus, the question arose as to whether the combination of this and the standard model would stand up a bit more against its ‘older brothers’. However, and as we can see in Apple’s online store, we see that the trend is repeated for another year and that at this moment, just over two weeks after the expected date of arrival on the market, the wait for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max can already be extended for a month compared to 3-4 weeks ago about 10 days.
Apple has another sign with this new generation replacement that maybe for future generations, should adjust his production beats and give these two releases more weight. And we are talking about something that has already been repeated three times and will surely intensify as Apple makes more differences between the standard and Pro models.
