Elon Musk, head of Tesla and SpaceX, caught the attention of his followers with another tweet, in which he said the acquisition of Twitter will accelerate the creation of “X”, an app for everything. In the comments, users began to fiercely debate Musk’s statement. Someone said the microblogging service would turn into a super app, and someone suggested making X from scratch. Musk wrote that Twitter will probably speed up the process by 3-5 years, but he may be wrong.

Bloomberg suggests that Musk wants to make a super app with an expanded set of functions and services. Such a service allows users to communicate, shop, read news, listen to music and much more. An example of such an application would be the Chinese messenger WeChat, which goes beyond the scope of a messaging application. By the way, Musk once admitted that he admires Tencent’s product.

At Tesla’s shareholder meeting in August of this year, Elon Musk revealed he has ideas to make Twitter a whole lot better. He then compared his vision of further development of the microblogging service to X, which he founded in 1999.
