Infinix has announced the launch of its new Smartphone Infinix Hot 12i. The device is an entry-level model, and its main features are a large screen, a 5000 mAh battery, and MediaTek’s Helio A22 chip.
The smartphone has a differentiated design and stands out for fast charging.
According to official specifications published by Infinix, the new smartphone has a 6.82-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1612 x 720 or HD+, powered by MediaTek Helio A22 octa-core chip, 2GB/3GB/4GB storage. RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot of up to 512GB, and a 5,000mAh battery, but the company doesn’t mention support for fast charging. The 4GB RAM model also allows users to get an additional 3GB of virtual memory by using some of the internal storage, for a total of 7GB of storage.

The camera suite of the Infinix Hot 12i smartphone consists of an 8-megapixel front camera and three rear cameras, the main of which is a 13-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture and autofocus. The spec sheet doesn’t mention details about the other two rear cameras. The device can record Full HD (1080p) video at 30 fps and supports features such as night mode, slow motion recording up to 240 fps, and more.

Connectivity options for the new Infinix smartphone include support for 4G LTE networks, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro USB port. Other features of the device include a fingerprint sensor, FM radio support, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and more. The operating system is XOS 7.6 based on Android 11.

The Infinix Hot 12i smartphone is currently available in Nigeria in black, blue, green and gold. The 2GB RAM model has an MSRP of 61,800 Nigerian naira ($148 or R$690), while the 3GB model has an MSRP of 67,000 Nigerian naira ($161 or R$748). The price of the model with 4 GB of RAM has not yet been announced.
