In a post on a Reddit forum, user Deviliana said that found out she was pregnant using Apple Watch. An apple watch would give alerts for an increase in heart rate. Over the past 15 days, her heart rate should have increased from 57 to 72, which made the woman decide to find out the reason for this.

According to her, the test for Covid was negative. The temperature was normal. But after reading on the Internet that her heart tends to increase early in pregnancy, she took a drug test, which came back positive for pregnancy.

The pregnancy was later confirmed at the medical center. And here is the most curious: the gestation period is only 4 weeks. So early that even the ultrasound is not visible.

“I know this can be an unusual use of the watch, but if you are a woman of childbearing age and your watch shows an increase in heart rate, it is worth getting tested,” the woman wrote in her post. She also mentioned that she was “horrified” by the news as she is still breastfeeding her first child, who is only 18 months old.
