This autumn is a very interesting period both for directly related companies, such as Enermax, and for everyone who is interested in the graphics card market. A few days ago we witnessed the announcement of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40, whose maximum exponent, the GeForce RTX 4090, will hit the market next Wednesday, October 12. On the other hand, Scott Herkelman, AMD’s senior vice president, confirmed a few weeks ago on his twitter account that the presentation of RDNA 3, and therefore the expected Radeon 7000, will take place on November 3. And if that wasn’t enough, the Intel Arc Alchemist A750 and A770 will also debut in the Western market in a few days.

There are a few leaks we’ve already seen regarding the Radeon 7000, and as for the RTX 40, NVIDIA announced the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 with 16 and 12 GB (which also plug a different GPU). We’re all hoping that this family will grow with new models due to be announced early next year, and that along with RDNA 3-based graphics and potentially Intel’s cruising-speed graphics point to 2023, in which graphics cards will be a topic of conversation and purchase, quite common.

So we’re in a particularly optimal time for leaks about all that’s to come. And today we learned about one in particular, which is the most interesting, and that is Enermax, a popular and renowned brand of power supplies. This company has a very handy tool on their site where you can enter the configuration of your PC (or more reasonably the one you plan to build) and with this information will suggest the most recommended power option (of course from those in your catalog). You can see this tool at this link.

As you would expect from a tool of this type, Enermax has tried to make it completely complete in terms of the list of options available for each category, as this is key to the proposed proposal really meeting the needs of the user, and therefore which we understand that the company will update these records whenever possible… although this information is not yet public. And that’s exactly what he’s had to do lately, given the options available in the graphics card section.

Accessing it gives us access to two manufacturers, AMD and NVIDIA (it’s surprising that Enermax hasn’t updated to include Intel Arc, but we understand they will soon). The surprise comes when we find models when choosing AMD among other options RX7950XT, RX7900XT, RX7800XT and RX7700XT. If we choose NVIDIA, in addition to the options that we might already expect because they are public, we will find RTX4070 and RTX4060. In addition, thanks to its computing system, we can find out their approximate electricity consumption.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40

  • GeForce RTX 4090: 450 watts
  • GeForce RTX 4080 16GB: 320 watts
  • GeForce RTX 4080 12GB: 285 watts
  • GeForce RTX 4070: TDP ~285 Watts
  • GeForce RTX 4060: TDP ~200 watts

AMD Radeon 7000

  • Radeon RX 7950XT: TBP ~420 Watts
  • Radeon RX 7900XT: TBP ~330 Watts
  • Radeon RX 7800XT: TBP ~300 Watts
  • Radeon RX 7700XT: TBP ~200 Watts

So we have the data of six as yet unpublished cards, two from NVIDIA which will surely see the light at the beginning of next yearand four from AMD, which could be announced in early November, or could be split into two announcements, one on that date and another also earlier in the year, possibly at CES 2023.
