Already We are only a few days away from the most important event of the year for the Minecraft community, Minecraft Live 2022an online conference that took over the classic MineCon from 2020 (precisely due to the pandemic), but despite losing the face-to-face component, it is still a key moment for the community because, among other announcements , Here we are finally revealed what the will be composing the next major Minecraft update, in this case Minecraft 1.20.
So much so that for many, Minecraft Live 2022 is synonymous, solely and exclusively, with the presentation of Minecraft 1.20, but the truth is that it is not. At events in 2020 and 2021 Other very interesting announcements were made at the meeting, voting, interviews with team members… In short, it’s a very interesting and fun update that I personally mostly follow with great interest. And of course, which also makes a lot of sense to discuss swimming pools about possible announcements that will take place. So let’s see what we can expect this year.
The first, the clearest and the most obvious, is that we will finally know the content of Minecraft 1.20. There are a few theories about this, which I’ll expand on in the next post, but in summary, we can expect Mojang to catch up on some outstanding debts (such as backpacks, some biomes, and archeology mechanics), the much-anticipated battle with the system update, and/or, in my opinion, the most likely very promising update End. But that being said, we will go into detail on this point tomorrow, for now remember that this doubt will be removed in Minecraft Live 2022.
It will also take place during the event, vote on new crowd which will be added to Minecraft 2022. Here are the three suggestions for this year with their respective official definitions:
Tuff Golem: Surprise statue: comes to life! When a tuff golem awakens, it will walk around, picking up and holding objects it finds. Don’t worry, it will return to where you placed it when it turns back into a statue. It can be a work of art, but you design it.
rascal: A mischievous creature that likes to play hide and seek! That villain lurks in the underground mines waiting for you to find him. Seeing the same villain three times will give you a reward, so keep your eyes peeled!
Sniffer: This ancient creature was once part of the upper world ecosystem, now you can bring the sniffer back if you can find its egg! Hatch new creatures, breed them and find out how to get the sniffer to thrive again. There are seeds that only a sniffer can find!
At this point, yes, Minecraft Live 2022 represents an important difference from previous editions. If you’ve followed the event in previous years, you’ll remember that voting was done via Twitter, but that won’t be the case this year. Instead, it will be possible to vote from the Minecraft launcher, from the official website and from the special map for Minecraft Bedrock, which will be specially enabled for this purpose. We understand that in all three cases it will be necessary to identify yourself with a user account, which seems to be quite a reasonable measure to avoid the use of bots and other techniques that try to change the legitimate result that would offer a vote for each registered user who wants to participate.
And while we’re on the subject of Minecraft Bedrock, the moves in the screenshots of this version in recent months point in the direction many expect, with both Java and Bedrock now being offered in one package. And it is that after that, the next logical step is to compare both versions. Mind you, I’m not talking about the convergence of the two into one, because that would result in a civil war in the Minecraft ecosystem. Now, with the exception of some differences such as the fact that Java will still not have ray tracing and that Bedrock will continue to depend on the market for the vast majority of add-ons, the two vanilla versions are equivalent in features and available elements.
Last June, Microsoft surprised us with an announcement at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 Minecraft Legends, a title that will join Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons as a new IP from the Mojang ecosystem, a strategy title that will hit the market sometime in 2023. We don’t know much at this point, although rumors and speculation have been rampant in recent months and now timing is more than enough, so it would make perfect sense that Minecraft 2022 also represents its launch event and, although it is purely speculative, that apart from explaining what it will consist of, its launch is announced for the beginning of 2023, between February and March .
These are the most notable points, but not the only ones. We can also expect news about minecraft dungeons third season. It is also possible that there will be an announcement or we will be shown some action taken with the educational edition of Minecraft, and maybe we will even hear news about the eternal Minecraft movie project.
