We visited TV Cultura to show you what’s going on inside the station! TV Cultura is a Brazilian public television network based in São Paulo and is the first channel in Brazil and Latin America to fully integrate Dolby Atmos into its programming, running the technology 24 hours a day.
TV Cultura evokes nostalgia for several generations because it is well known for its educational content and children’s series such as Rá-Tim-Bum, Turma da Mônica, TV Cocoricó, O Pequeno Urso, As Aventuras de Tintin, Pingu, Zoboomafoo, among others .
The ransom amount is BRL 25 million and must be paid in cryptocurrencies by October 15th.
While visiting TV, we passed several studios and technical rooms, such as the Dolby Atmos room responsible for original content that is mixed on multiple channels. We also entered the TV Cultura Technical Center, the heart of the station, where every high-definition video and audio signal goes, encoding the content for transmission to the TV in your home.
We visited CTRS (Transmission and Reception Control) to show who is behind channel programming. Essentially real-time editing of what will be on the air, such as breaks, live broadcasts, documentaries and drawings.
Another interesting part that we know was the quality control room, which simulates a person’s home with a 5.1.4 sound system to check the sound on the various channels offered by TV programs. Finally, we also moved on to the area of color grading, which gives the finishing touch in terms of color and is already working on projects with Dolby Vision.
