Meta’s president, Mark Zuckerberg, has predicted that by 2027, humanity will be able to communicate with each other in the form of holograms. The billionaire announced this on the Stratechery podcast with analyst Ben Thompson.

“I think that in five years nothing will stop us from having this podcast and just being in augmented reality glasses. It’s still in Taiwan and your hologram will look like it’s here on Meta HQ. And it will appear to everyone who is with the addressee”Zuckerberg said.

According to him, it is enough to transfer a 3D model of a person to make such meetings and calls. “I’ll be able to relay that to you – it won’t just be a video call, we’ll actually be able to interact together, it will look very believable”– added the businessman.

During the podcast, Zuckerberg also stated that he wants to create more interactive experiences in the metaverse to strengthen human communication over distance.
