Major game companies are already getting enhanced versions of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X to optimize their future projects for new hardware. This was reported on the GTAForums website by an insider nicknamed Tez2, which is famous for fairly accurate leaks about the projects of Rockstar studio (creators of the GTA game series).

According to the informant, some studios have already received enhanced consoles, and those who do not have them yet will receive devkits (prototypes for developers) in early 2023. Tez2 claims this is about improved versions, not next-gen. Most likely, the new products will be positioned as intermediate models such as the previously introduced PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Tez2 also stated that he is 100% sure of his knowledge and that this is not speculation. At the same time, the insider did not reveal any details about future PlayStation and Xbox models.
