In Ukraine, Dober was developed, the first secure messaging program that can be used by the military in the future. The founder of the initiative, Dmytro Oberemok, announced
The founder of the initiative, Dmytro Oberemok, announced this at a press conference on Ukrinform.
“Our team presents its own development – a messenger for the secure exchange of instant messages. Currently, the test version of the application based on the Android operating system is ready. At the same time, we are completing the development of the version for Apple smartphones, the software part of which is almost ready,” he said.
The application allows you to prevent the transfer of the user’s personal data to third parties, provides anonymous registration and, if desired, the complete deletion of information about the user from the system.
According to the developer, the need to develop such a messenger is due to periodic interruptions in the operation of messaging services from IT giants, which are constantly exposed to hacker attacks, and the increased demand for more secure encrypted data transmission systems during the war. autonomous servers
“The technological feature of the messenger is that it is not tied to an email or phone number, but only to a password-protected account on the server. All information exchange takes place on a separate server, which uses end-to-end encryption technologies that protect users from leaking information,” emphasizes the founder of the initiative.
According to the developers, this feature of the messenger can also be useful for military secure communications as the software hardware server can be located in a military unit or some secret safe place. You will only need Internet access to work.
“The administrator who will manage the server has full functionality in managing access and blocking users. That is, in fact, it is the primary filter of one or another community connected to the messenger, which prevents unauthorized access to third-party communications,” explained Oberemok.
According to him, the development received a conclusion about stable work and a high degree of protection from “white” hackers from Estonia.
Dober messenger offers two versions of the application – corporate and public. The corporate client can get their own software server and fully control its location and user access to it. General messenger includes downloading the app and connecting via smartphones.
You can download the application from the Play Market using the link.
As reported, startups in the field of military technology (production of drones, software, etc.) account for almost 30% of all applications for the new grant program from the Ukraine Startup Fund to support dual-purpose projects.
