Apple today released an Apple Fitness+ ad highlighting a new feature that will allow iPhone users on iOS 16.1 to access and use the subscription service without an Apple Watch.
Since launch, Apple Fitness+ requires an Apple Watch to track workouts and display fitness information collected by Apple Watch on your TV screen. With iOS 16.1, Apple began allowing “iPhone” owners without an Apple Watch to exercise directly on the “iPhone”, but tracking is not available.
New features allow “iPhone” owners to subscribe to Apple Fitness+ after updating the software to iOS 16.1. Apple Fitness+ costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year, and multiple family members can use the same subscription.
