The launch of the Shiyan-20B (Shiyan-20C) satellite was carried out at 09:01 Beijing time using a Changzheng-2G (Long March-2D) launch vehicle. The spacecraft successfully entered the planned orbit.
It is stated that the satellite will mainly be used for orbital tests of new technologies such as monitoring the space environment.
This flight was the 445th flight for the Changzheng series launch vehicles.
As Ukrinform reported, in October Chinese authorities successfully launched a new remote sensing satellite into space from the Xichang Cosmodrome in the country’s southwestern Sichuan province.
