The author recalled that now a modified Javelin installation called the Javelin Light Command Launch Unit (LWCLU) can be used to launch the Stinger, which receives an infrared sight that specifically allows MANPADS to be used at night.
“The LWCLU/Stinger combination is capable of getting target coordinates from other sources. This makes it much more deadly than when using the original Stinger launcher.”says the broadcast.
