“At the moment, we ask you to use mobile communications and the Internet very sparingly, in conditions of missile attacks and power outages, networks are operating at the limit of their capacity and their recovery speed will be much slower than before. As for the situation with Internet access, a spokesperson for the State Special Communications Service noted that as of nine o’clock on the morning of November 24, more than 50% of fixed broadband Internet access networks are already operating in Ukraine.

“In case of long periods of total outage, we recommend using a fixed connection if there is no mobile connection at all, because it is much more likely to work. If you do not have a fixed landline, find out in advance where to find the closest one, home.” – Kondrashov noted.

The State Special Communications spokesperson said that restoring and maintaining the stability of networks depends on many factors, primarily the security situation, the power supply situation, the condition of networks and equipment.

“We ask citizens to understand the difficulties in operating networks. Even today, it has been significantly possible thanks to the joint work of a number of state bodies, institutions, services, mobile operators, electronic communication operators and our international partners. In addition, the expert reported that the process of providing alternative power sources to electronic communication operators continues, and this was established both by the companies themselves and by international assistance and support.

“Thanks to international partners, we get the necessary telecommunication equipment that allows us not only to provide communication to the population in case of prolonged power outages, but also to immediately restore communication in the newly occupied areas of Ukraine ,” he emphasized.
